TMP Architecture, Inc. is proud to announce that six of our projects received awards in 2018. Honoring everything from flooring, to interiors, to architectural design, the commendations showcase the breadth of TMP’s expertise in creating exceptional educational spaces.
University of Michigan Athletics South Campus Performance Center
This new multi-sport facility serves two-thirds of the University’s student athletes with specialized training spaces. TMP collaborated with Denver-based Sink Combs Dethlefs for this project. Awards include: 2018 Pyramid Award for Best Project Team, 2018 Construction Showcase Award from Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) Magazine, 2018 Outstanding Design for American School & University Educational Interiors Showcase, 2018 Honorable Mention for College Planning & Management Education Design Showcase.
Perrysburg Schools New Hull Prairie Intermediate School
This new, 900 student Ohio Designated STEM school is designed to reinforce collaboration. It’s groundbreaking educational concepts won it the following awards: 2018 Outstanding Design for American School & University Architectural Portfolio, 2018 Honorable Mention for School Planning & Management Education Design Showcase, 2018 Outstanding Design for Learning By Design Fall Architectural Portfolio, 2018 Silver Category Winner for Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Design Awards
St. Clair County Regional Educational Services Agency Classroom 4 the Future Program
For this program, 13 teachers received funds to transform their classrooms with modern furnishings and the project won a 2018 Outstanding Design for American School & University Interiors Showcase.
Virginia Military Institute Cormack & Cocke Hall Renovations
This project adaptively reused two historic buildings, including an equestrian training facility, for the relocation of the Department of Physical Education and achieved a LEED Silver Certification. It received an Outstanding Design award for the 2018 American School & University Architectural Portfolio.
St. Clair County Community College (SC4) Fieldhouse Renovation
The SC4 Fieldhouse renovated a past-its-prime ice arena into the home for SC4 Athletics that includes a three-court gym and elevated running track. The Fieldhouse received an Outstanding Project award in Learning By Design’s Spring Architectural Portfolio.
Kalamazoo College Fitness and Wellness Center
This new facility serves the student and faculty population with state-of-the-art fitness equipment and group exercise spaces. The two-story building enhances its corner of campus and provides a welcome gateway. The project received an Outstanding Project award in Learning By Design’s 2018 Fall Architectural Portfolio.
