Bloomfield Hills, Mich., November 19, 2014 — TMP Architecture, Inc. is pleased to announce that Misty Raatz has joined the firm’s architectural group. Misty will serve as a Project Manager with a focus in the K-12 market. She will be involved in the day-to-day management and implementation of projects, as well as business development activities in the K-12 sector.
Misty’s most recent position with Fanning Howey Associates, Inc. as Market Leader/Project Executive and Project Manager included leadership responsibilities for managing teams for K-12 projects in Michigan. She was also charged with maintaining and developing business strategies during her seven years with the firm. Prior to that, Misty worked as a Project Manager and Coordinator for Wold Architects and Engineers (2001-2007) and CDPA Architects (1996-2001). She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree and Master of Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University.
Misty is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Michigan Chapter, and is a member of the AIA Detroit Chapter Building Codes and Regulations Committee. She has presented to the Michigan Association of School Administrators as well as the Michigan Association of Public School Academies. One of her most notable projects as Project Manager was the Milan Center for Innovative Studies, Milan Area Schools, Michigan. The project garnered the Grand Prize in the 2014 Education Design Showcase award program through School Planning and Management magazine.
TMP has offices in Bloomfield Hills and Portage, Michigan, producing a variety of projects for college/university, K-12 educational and municipal clients. Some of the firm’s current work includes a new middle school for PlymouthCanton Community Schools, a new Early Childhood Center for Novi Community Schools, and new facilities for the University of Michigan’s South Athletic Campus.
