An increase in enrollment necessitated a major addition and remodeling for Central High School. Two new visible front entrances give direct access to a central corridor and commons area. This two-story spine links all of the major school areas into one easily supervised and dynamic space. The academic center includes three, two-story communities, allowing the school to be broken down into smaller groups. Communities include general classroom space, science labs, faculty and counselor offices, group instruction space and interactive technology labs. The upgraded media and technology center enhances student learning by meeting specific program needs. The 800-seat performing arts center allows the students to learn and present all aspects of theatre art.
