Outdoor and environmental learning thrives at this center situated on 11 acres of property adjacent to the 3,500-acre Proud Lake Recreation Area. District elementary students enjoy multiple classes at this facility, and the center is also rented by other school districts and organizations. A full renovation includes new classrooms, an office and support spaces to allow for multiple classroom groups to use the building simultaneously. The roads and parking were reconfigured to allow efficient bus access while site amenities such as restrooms and pathway lighting were added. A challenge ropes course and outdoor shelter is also featured. This facility is the perfect place for school camps, organizations’ retreats, or as a mini-conference center for corporate groups.
